Aircraft charter

Project Stages

  1. Gather objective factual information pertaining to the risks of individuals with ADHD and under medication for ADHD to their safety as pilots.
  2. Develop a registry of individuals who have ADHD and who wish to be qualified as pilots.
  3. Launch a letter-writing campaign to the FAA seeking to update the currently flawed rules about ADHD risk.
  4. If the letter-writing campaign is unsuccessful, engage in a class-action lawsuit to require changes in the rules.
  5. Maintain this website as a resource for individuals with ADHD and an interest in flying.

It is my belief and experience as a physician that there are many others who have experienced similar results from being diagnosed and treated for ADD.

Of those, I believe there are many who have had no choice but to either use aircraft charter or “hide” their diagnosis for fear of not being able to qualify for a medical certificate, or worse, they have chosen to forego adequate treatment in order to satisfy current FAA regulations.

There are those of us who carry this diagnosis and continue to be effectively treated. We realize (and the evidence supports this) that we do not pose an increased risk to ourselves or others by being effectively treated.  I look forward to the opportunity to help amplify our message on this matter and appreciate all of your support along the way. Together we can prevail!
